ABM: How did you get your name?

It was something I came up with when I felt I needed a new catchy and mainstream name that also fits my personality. I am always thinking about new ideas, brands, slogans, concepts, titles and lyrics. Plus I believe I am quite good at it. You can say I’m quick-witted.

ABM: Whats your family background, who raised you, any siblings?

I come from a Vietnamese and Chinese background where at one point, my grandparents raised me while my parents were busy working to provide for us. But my parents raised me for the most part.

I have 2 older sisters and a young brother. Fortunately, they are all doing well.

ABM: Where were you raised, did you move around at all?

I was born in Dallas, Texas and was raised in San Francisco all of my life. I did not move around much except to San Jose while I attended San Jose State University.

ABM: What are some of your life experiences that pushed you towards making music?

I’ve been listening to hiphop/rap since I was about 7 years old. Freestyling at house parties and with friends, along with my long-time love for music definitely helped push me towards making music.

My taste in music expanded as I got older and technology made things easier for me to start making music on my own.

ABM: What are some of your music influences, or favorite artists?

I grew up listening to a lot of Bay Area rap artists like JT The Bigga Figga, San Quinn, Messy Marv, Mac Dre, E-40,  2Pac, Yukmouth, 3X Krazy, and more. My current favorite artists are Jay-Z, Fabolous, Jeezy, Drake, Wiz Khalifa.

ABM: What age did you start making music?

Around 19-20 during college.

ABM: Tell us your best experience in the music industry so far?

Winning an award for one of my music videos “Yo Body” presented by MYX TV’s Press Play competition. My video was also aired on the MYX TV international Comcast television channel that has an audience of over 10 million nationwide.

ABM: Whats the name of your debut album?

No album as of yet, but I am working on a yet to be titled EP.

ABM: Anybody in the industry who you are interested in working with?

At the moment, I would love to work with great vocalists like Lana Del Rey, Ellie Goulding, Rihanna and Ariana Grande.
