by Ian Jackson

Northern California, there is a new Hip Hop Duo the “Drench Twinz”, who are coming out the Bay Area by way of the 707! Not only are they a very catchy and uplifting group, they have a good energy that sweeps you off your feet off the first impression.

Their new single “What Iz It”, is grabbing the hearts of local Mac Dre fans, and their artistic representation of their home city is electrifying and respectable. It was only right we sealed their first local interview.

ABM: What is your Hip Hop name?

DrenchTwinz: Drench Twinz, we are a hip hop duo, which consists of Been R3ady and 6M.

ABM: Tell us the story behind your hip-hop name?

DrenchTwinz: Been R3ady is the founder of the name, we wanted to be a household name, and with names like the sauce and the drip, we wanted to combine the two to be bigger then the rest, so the Drench was born in 2017.

ABM: What happened in your life that led to the decision of you becoming a musician?

Been R3ady: I have personally been around music all my life whether it was rapping or singing it was something I was always intrigued by so since a kid that’s when I started to play around with music

6M: It was in middle school, my friends and I used to make beats with our hands on the table. Next thing you know, I start freestyling. The funny thing is, I learned backwards so I said if I can come up with words like this on the top of my head, let me write, and from then it was over.

ABM: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?

Been R3ady: I was born in Fairfield California, also known as the Field. I was raised in Texas throughout my childhood, I was a kid who moved around a lot growing up.

6M: My name is 6M, I am from Vallejo California and as far as what it was like the word that comes to mind is the mud. I’m from the south part of the city, so it always seemed like it was a war going on. It’s funny I wouldn’t change anything being from Vallejo, it made me who I am.
