Drench Twinz

Northern California, there is a new Hip Hop Duo the “Drench Twinz”, who are coming out the Bay Area by way of the 707! Not only are they a very catchy and uplifting group, they have a good energy that sweeps you off your feet off the first impression.

Their new single “What Iz It”, is grabbing the hearts of local Mac Dre fans, and their artistic representation of their home city is electrifying and respectable. It was only right we sealed their first local interview.

ABM: What is your Hip Hop name?

DrenchTwinz: Drench Twinz, we are a hip hop duo, which consists of Been R3ady and 6M.

ABM: Tell us the story behind your hip-hop name?

DrenchTwinz: Been R3ady is the founder of the name, we wanted to be a household name, and with names like the sauce and the drip, we wanted to combine the two to be bigger then the rest, so the Drench was born in 2017.

ABM: What happened in your life that led to the decision of you becoming a musician?

Been R3ady: I have personally been around music all my life whether it was rapping or singing it was something I was always intrigued by so since a kid that’s when I started to play around with music

6M: It was in middle school, my friends and I used to make beats with our hands on the table. Next thing you know, I start freestyling. The funny thing is, I learned backwards so I said if I can come up with words like this on the top of my head, let me write, and from then it was over.

ABM: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?

Been R3ady: I was born in Fairfield California, also known as the Field. I was raised in Texas throughout my childhood, I was a kid who moved around a lot growing up.

6M: My name is 6M, I am from Vallejo California and as far as what it was like the word that comes to mind is the mud. I’m from the south part of the city, so it always seemed like it was a war going on. It’s funny I wouldn’t change anything being from Vallejo, it made me who I am.

ABM: What are your last full length releases people can go check out right now?

DrenchTwinz: As of right now we have half of our Ep on SoundCloud which can be found under DrenchTwinz also newly added check our or new single called What Iz It on YouTube our Mac Dre tribute.

ABM: What are you currently working on?

DrenchTwinz: Our warm up EP called “The Pajammy Jam”, as well as our debut album, “The Party”.

ABM: What’s your last visual release people can check out, tell us about it.

DrenchTwinz: Being from the 707, we wanted to make something that represented our city and culture, so the song is called “What Iz It”, and is a tribute to the great, Mac Dre!

ABM: Where have you toured at in your career?

DrenchTwinz: We have done shows in Albany, Oakland, Sacramento, Emeryville. We also have a show in San Jose, CA on May 11th.

ABM: What is your ultimate goal at the end of your career?

Been R3ady: My main goal is to be successful, and hopefully one day be wealthy.

6M: To be one of the all time greats, somebody who always got the party started.
