BAY AREA HARPIST GEO BLENDS HIP‑HOP AT SUPER BOWL

San Mateo native Geo Lacerna, professionally known as GEO, turned heads by bringing the harp to the Super Bowl stage, proving that classical instruments can move seamlessly through hip hop, R&B, and Bay Area hyphy energy. Performing alongside LaRussell, the Yee Section, and the Co Llab Choir, @geowav showcased a sound that started in Vallejo backyard shows and grew to major festivals like Outside Lands, now reaching one of the world’s largest audiences.

LaRussell calls GEO “a breath of fresh air,” highlighting her joy, natural stage presence, and ability to make the harp feel alive and contemporary. With deep roots in San Francisco’s music scene and a dedication to innovation, GEO is breaking expectations, celebrating her Filipino heritage, and carrying Bay culture forward with pride!
