Nicki Minaj gets lawsuit by her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels for Royalties on her albums

The issues between Nicki Minaj and her ex-boyfriend Safaree Samuels continues, as he files a lawsuit against her.

According to TMZ, Samuels is suing Nicki over royalties he says he’s owed for her multi-platinum albums,The Pinkprint, Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. He also wants a piece of her biggest singles, including “Only” featuring Chris Brown, Drake, and Lil Wayne, “Flawless (Remix)” with Beyoncé, and “Feeling Myself.”

Safaree claims he was instrumental in the creation of much of Nicki’s music, serving as executive producer credit on her first two albums… and has proof.

He says he has evidence such as videos of him working with Nicki, voice memos from recording sessions, and footage from studio sessions… as well as multiple witnesses to validate his claims.

Safaree and Nicki broke up in 2014, after a 12-year relationship.
