Ice Cube and Kevin Hart ‘Ride Along’ Sets Box Office Record With $47.8 Million

The Universal Picture cop-comedy “Ride Along” starring Ice Cube and Kevin Hart grossed over $41 million over the MLK weekend, setting a crazy box office record for having the biggest Friday-Sunday opening in January history and another box office record for biggest MLK weekend opening ever.

 

Kevin Hart in undenyably the “Best in Comedy” right now. He started from a rachet but funny movie,”Soul Plane”  to making movies like “About Last Night”, starring Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant and Regina Hall. Then we cant forget “Think Like A Man Too”, Ride Along 2 and ‘Let Me Explain’ his comedy tour. Dont foget he has a show on BET  ‘Real Husbands of Hollywood ‘, which premiered last year with 4.1 million viewers. Let me tell you he is doing his thing.

According to TheMercury: Kevin Hart stated

“I still don’t know if I made it. I think the minute I think about it, is the minute I’ll go crazy. I don’t like addressing it. This is all a dream to me. That’s why I don’t go to sleep. I’m afraid if I close my eyes, when I wake up, this (film career) will be over. So I just stay up all the time.”

Critics were not impressed with “Ride Along,” according to Rotten Tomatoes, but the audiences didnt care. Unsure if it was the actual movie or the actors in the movie but they killed it, and we support Kevin Hart and Ice Cube.
