The real Slim Shady stands up on his new album

Eminem released a single off of his album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 yesterday (Aug. 26) on the Eminem’s Sirius/XM radio station Shade 45.  The single “Berzerk” starts off by saying, “Now this shits about to kick off, this party looks whack/ lets take it back to straight hip hop and start it from scratch.”  setting the mood for this song which is super energetic and brings it back to the old Shady style.  The song is stacked with effects and has a really cool sound to it that is definitely unique.  Bringing back the DJ scratch and a sample from Billy Squier’s “The Stroke”.

Eminem goes hard in this single and drops some names as he is famous for.  Calling out Kevin Federline and the Kardashian’s saying that he woke up next to an ugly one and then gets more specific as he disses Lamar Odom.  The verse spits,

“They say that love is powerful as cough Annotatesyrup and Styrofoam /All I know is I fell asleep and woke up in that Monte Carlo /With the ugly Kardashian /Lamar, oh sorry yo, we done both set the bar low /Bars hard, drugs hard thought that’s the past /But I done did enough codeine to knock Future into tomorrow /And girl I ain’t got no money to borrow /But I am tryin’ to find a way to get you alone, car note! /Oh, Marshall Mathers shouldn’t everybody know /Get the bar soap lathered, kangols and called Arthur’s Cargo’s /Girl you’re fixin’ to get your heart broke, don’t be absurd man /You bird brained baby I ain’t called anybody baby since Birdman /Unless you’re a swallow /Word, w-word man you heard, but don’t be discouraged girl /This is your jam, unless you got toe jam”

Eminem also gives a little shout out to Dre’s old N.W.A. buddy MC Ren and Public Enemy in the beginning of his verse.  The new album should be a classic album from Eminem and it is getting all of us excited after hearing this unique aggressive sound that only Slim Shady could pull off.  The album is projected to be released on November 5, and will be his 8th studio album.
