Aaron Michael faces Criticism from all angles…. LASTDAYs

Aaron Michael has been a Bay Area sensation within the Latin/Black/HipHop Community since 2014-2015. Touring with artist all over the Bay – such as Philthy Rich, KRS-One, MayDay, TeamBackPack, Brother Lynch, Locksmith, Keek the Sneek & many other heads. He dropped 2 mixtape/albums this year, following his debut album ANGELS, which was release in 2017-2018 on Apple Music under Label ILLA Lifestyle Records. Aaron MICHAEL explains some of the scrutiny he has been facing from releasing these last 2 projects “Kings Cup” & “Last Days” this year, 2020.

“People have been saying that my lyrics are too sexual, and that I am a bad influence on the Youth because I am supposedly apart of several underground gang communities and I promote violence and extreme drug issues. If that is so true, what are we going to do with mainstream hiphop today? Guys like “The Weeknd” who is being featured on the Super-Bowl next year and getting cashed out Millions for a 15 minute set? Or every single HipHop/Rap Musican and there extreme lyrics. Also about how they purchased and sell illegal drugs to get famous and show off all there riches? Honestly I think the true target of all this hatred is that people are seeing “colored people” with money and getting away with doing these musical videos and basically, talking shit. People have the right to be upset, sure. There just Jelious honestly. He (the RapStar) has more money and a bigger house, nicer cars… is Super famous and I (the citizen) have a mortgage to pay. & it doesn’t help that we are colored, and don’t need to act “American White” to gain success. We have the right in this country to make this style of music – “TrapMusic”. That’s what makes American free. Freedom of speech and freedom of art. If a woman has a beautiful body and I’m explaining the curves in such a way that makes you happy in a smooth melodic voice, that makes me an Artist. Basically all these issues were pressed in 1992 in the Supreme Court with – 2 Live Crew.”

This isn’t the only issue Michael has faced. People trying to regulate his lyrics based on his ethnicity, saying because he isn’t black enough he can’t say ni**ga even though Aaron Michael is over 20% black. “I’ve only shared with certain individuals my race because my family is very conservative… my step Dad was a white dude, Mom was Mexican/Spanish/Middle-Eastern Egyptian. She was very “white” and didn’t want me to ever talk about who I was… it’s a complicated situation in my family but I never thought that people would be getting rattled up in the street almost gang banging race on me. Clearly I am not a white guy but that’s how people are. Your Mexican, your white, you ____, you fill in the blank. Just be happy with who I am and stop hating me for what I’m not.” Despite all of the upset, the Music is hot! And the wave, ready & extremely saturated. With over 20 Million Streams and Counting, Aaron Michael looks to his new album “Solomon” with ft. From Cassidy, RobLo, Gabriel Cannon & More. You can stream Last Days here belo

ABM What is your stage name? What inspired your stage name?

Lul Matt: I really didn’t even have to think about it. I was born with music in my blood so it just came naturally.

ABM: What is your story in terms of music, when did you start making music?

Lul Matt: I’ve been around music my whole life. I made my first song with my dad, (shoutout Matt Blaque) at 4 years old. Not only that, both sides of my family are talented musically. My mom’s side has many singers and so do my dads. So music was really always around me. Throughout my life I was making music off and on and then one day I actually started taking it seriously. I realized that I had potential in this industry so I wanted to give it a shot.

ABM: How did your upbringing in Northern California influence your career?

Lul Matt: Coming up in Northern California influenced me a lot. Being raised between the bay area and Sacramento was crucial to my musical influences. Just hearing the different sounds all around inspired me and what I wanted to sound like. Coming from Sacramento Ca I was listening to Mozzy of course and also being around the bay I was listening to legends like The Jacka, E-40, Berner, and of course whatever songs my dad was on.

ABM: Do you have any music visuals in the works?

Lul Matt: If we not working, we workin. Always planning and working on something new. Shooting a music video is just a little bit harder with everyone being in quarantine due to the virus. But trust me when I say I will be dropping new visuals all summer, I mean it. But check out my song on Thizzler called “Millionaire” featuring my Dad, Matt Blaque.

ABM: Do you have any other projects in the works?

Lul Matt: I am currently working on my first EP. This project has been in works for a while now and the vision I had for it is finally coming to life. I can’t say too much about it but just know it’s the first of many and everything we’re doing is billboard.

ABM: What inspired you to pursue being an artist professionally? Also, Tell us about your father and what role he played to inspire you.

Lul Matt: What inspired me to pursue becoming an artist professionally is the fact that I could make millions of dollars by doing what I love to do. I’m blessed enough to have access to a studio in my home so if I could sit at home all day in the studio and make millions, I don’t think there is another job that could do that for me. My dad is the reason I do music. Growing up and seeing him drop all these songs with influential artists like E-40, Philthy Rich, Mozzy, Too short, and so many others. It was always inspirational to see that.

ABM: Do you have any other lanes in music that interest you

Lul Matt: I want to learn it all. I already know how to produce, manage, engineer, so everything and anything music related whether that is behind the scenes or front and center.

ABM: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

Lul Matt: 5 years from now I see myself performing all around the world. The sound that I am working on is something that I feel can reach millions and millions of people. Nothing will make me happier than to share my message and my music with the world.

ABM: Who are some of the musical influences that have inspired you?

Lul Matt: My biggest musical influences in the new age just to name a few would be travis scott, roddy ricch, and dababy.

ABM: Are there any artists you would like to work with in the future?

Lul Matt: There are many artists I would want to work with in the future. Starting with a upcoming bay area artist Maj4l. I would most definitely want to want to put something in motion with him. I would also like to work with Lil Mosey. I feel like our sounds together on a record would flow perfectly.

ABM: Are there any last words or shout outs?

Lul Matt: Shoutout anybody who supports me and what I do. Big shoutouts to Moms, Pops, Uncle Dan and My nana. I’m forever in debt with them for all they do for me. None of this would be possible without them so I’m grateful. I also want to shout out the gang, any event or appearance I have they are always there for that front and center so thank y’all for that.

ABM: What is your stage name?

JFifer: J Fifer or Jon Fifer.

ABM: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?

JFifer: I’m from Oakland, CA. Growing up in Oakland was cool as fuck man , I grew up around the 80s in East Oakland and it was always shit I could get into, I was never really bored. I was into basketball and football earlier on in my life although I was always around rappers and dancers. I always had people in my corner growing up who wanted to see me do good so growing up where I was I had a lot of positive influences and a lot of my friends are influential people in the Bay Area now.

ABM: What are your last full length releases people can go check out right now?

JonFifer: I just recently dropped a single called “Heard of Me” featuring AkaFrank, which is a straight slapper. I also got another club banger called “Drip” that been getting some radio play and been getting play by a lot of DJ’s in the Bay Area right now. I’d say thats one of my hottest songs out right now, people been really digging that. I got another single called “On to the Next” also, and you can find these on my iTunes.

ABM: What are you currently working on?

JFifer: Right now I just dropped my debut EP called “Star Power”.

ABM: What’s your last visual release people can check out, tell us about it.

JFifer: Right now I actually don’t have any visuals out at the moment, but we workin on getting one done for my “Drip” record cause my fans been telling me that I need one, so I gotta give the people what they want.

ABM: Is there any artists you would like to work with in the future?

JFifer: Yeah man, I got a lot, I could go on for hours, but for right now: Kendrick Lamar, YG, Too Short, Philthy Rich, Iamsu, E-40, Schoolboy Q, G-Eazy, SOBxRBE, Big Sean, Curren$y, Pharrell Williams, Wiz khalifa, A$AP Rocky. The list honestly goes on and on, those just some names that was on my mind at the time.

ABM: Any business ventures you wanna tell the public about?

JFifer: Yeah right now I’m trying to get some ideas together to make a clothing line , I really would like to get some merchandise for the people. Working on getting a vlog put up on my YouTube so my fans can really get a look at my day to day life, and see how I’m living.

ABM: Where can people find you online?

JFifer: You can find my music on all platforms, just type in “Jon Fifer”. As far as social media my instagram is @louisvuittonjon, twitter: Jon fifer, Facebook: Jonathan Fifer, YouTube: Jon Fifer Music

ABM: Any last words?

JFifer:I just wanna let everyone know I’m about to make a huge impact in this rap shit man, ya’ll definitely gonna be hearing more from me in the future. I think I add something to this rap game most have not seen before. Also please check out my new single “Heard of Me” featuring AKAFrank on iTunes!

ABM: What is your stage name?

4Ren: 4Ren is what they call me, some may know me as 4TG (@4renthegreat) which was my SoundCloud name, and my label I rep is M.O.B. ENT (Men of Business Entertainment) founded by my brother Preemo Gambino.

ABM: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?

4Ren: I grew up in Phillly (Philadelphia) and DMV area. As a child me and my mother moved around a lot. I have spent some time in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina. My whole family is from South Philly, and North Philly. Philly is a place that will make or break a person, its one of those places that you see good but theres also a lot of bad as well. I never realized how crazy it is growing up in inner cities till I grew up, a lot of people I know didn’t make it past 25, it’s sad… but it’s the honest truth. Even though moving around as a youngin was stressful I wouldn’t trade that life experience for anything, I feel like its the reason that I like so many different types of hip hop music.

ABM: What are your last full length releases people can go check out right now?

4Ren: My latest releases consist of my new hit “She Do Not Luv Me”, which is a iTunes exclusive. I also got a single “Mind Dying” featuring Preemo Gambino. That single is available on Preemo Gambino’s SoundCloud account. Lastly, my single 12AM, which can be found on my personal SoundCloud account. Each three of these songs all provide a different type of vibe that the youth and OG’S can all relate too.

ABM: What are you currently working on?

4Ren: I’m in the works of cooking up for another EP “Apex Predator 2”, the original one is on SoundCloud as well, I choose the name “Apex Predator” cause it means top of the food chain, we all know that Apex Predator is something that has no real threat in it’s environment, thats what hip hop is about, being so cold with punch lines, flows, cadence, and melody that its hard to compare you to anyone cause your so original. I feel as though that should be the goal for every artist.

ABM: What’s your last visual release people can check out, tell us about it.

4Ren: My last visual was “She Do Not Luv Me” shot by Rico The Producer. This song to me is something that I feel like anyone can relate too, its a story telling song with a small amount of RNB and melody rap.

ABM: Is there any artists you would like to work with in the future?

4Ren: I’d like to work with people like Mozzy, Boe Sosa, Lil Uzi Vert, Meek Mill, Skimask the Slumpgod, Juicewrld999, Chief Keef, E-40, Lil Pete, Lil Yee, Lil Blood, Philthy Rich, Lil Durk, Nav, Trippie Red, Tee Grizzely ,S.O.B., Too Short, Lil Bibby , G-Herbo, and Travis Scott.

ABM: Any business ventures you wanna tell the public about?

4Ren: Honestly I don’t know if I should be saying this, a lot of people gone think I’m capping but no cap Q.C. called me and I spoke with Coach K. I almost was on that Lil baby and Yo Gotti song (Put a Date On It), but it was bad timing so it fell through, but hopefully one day I could still work with Q.C. No lie I was big mad for a little, but everything happens for a reason.

ABM: Where can people find you online?

4Ren: You can find my music on iTunes, YouTube, Spotify, and Amazon under 4REN and on SoundCloud as 4RENTHEGREAT (4TG)

ABM: Any last words?

4Ren: To anyone making music, keep the grind going, never quit and remember do it for the love of music, the success comes later. Follow me on IG @4renthegreat and don’t forget to check out my brother Preemo Gambino as well IG @preemogambino. Also thank you to the guys at All Bay Music Magazine. I promise to old and new fans alike you will see more of M.O.B. Entertainment.

In the single “It’s Funky” J Diggs addresses the fans of Messy Marv, and also takes a shot at SF Rapper/Entrepreneur JT The Bigga Figga. To a bigger surprise he also took an aim at rapper MDot80.

The single is controversial and he comments on the Mozzy vs Philthy Rich beef, and for the first time instigates the Mozzy camp by claiming his longtime friendship with CML Lavish D.

With all the beef and Bay Area divide, give the song a listen and give a comment in the YouTube and tell us how you feel.

For a artist to have a lot of positive things going on in his career musically, its surprising to see him land a violation with everything at stake, and it wouldn’t be the first time we have seen a Sacramento artist jailed for lyrics or being apart of rap culture in a way that brings out negative effects in the community.
