Aaron Michael faces Criticism from all angles…. LASTDAYs

Aaron Michael has been a Bay Area sensation within the Latin/Black/HipHop Community since 2014-2015. Touring with artist all over the Bay – such as Philthy Rich, KRS-One, MayDay, TeamBackPack, Brother Lynch, Locksmith, Keek the Sneek & many other heads. He dropped 2 mixtape/albums this year, following his debut album ANGELS, which was release in 2017-2018 on Apple Music under Label ILLA Lifestyle Records. Aaron MICHAEL explains some of the scrutiny he has been facing from releasing these last 2 projects “Kings Cup” & “Last Days” this year, 2020.

“People have been saying that my lyrics are too sexual, and that I am a bad influence on the Youth because I am supposedly apart of several underground gang communities and I promote violence and extreme drug issues. If that is so true, what are we going to do with mainstream hiphop today? Guys like “The Weeknd” who is being featured on the Super-Bowl next year and getting cashed out Millions for a 15 minute set? Or every single HipHop/Rap Musican and there extreme lyrics. Also about how they purchased and sell illegal drugs to get famous and show off all there riches? Honestly I think the true target of all this hatred is that people are seeing “colored people” with money and getting away with doing these musical videos and basically, talking shit. People have the right to be upset, sure. There just Jelious honestly. He (the RapStar) has more money and a bigger house, nicer cars… is Super famous and I (the citizen) have a mortgage to pay. & it doesn’t help that we are colored, and don’t need to act “American White” to gain success. We have the right in this country to make this style of music – “TrapMusic”. That’s what makes American free. Freedom of speech and freedom of art. If a woman has a beautiful body and I’m explaining the curves in such a way that makes you happy in a smooth melodic voice, that makes me an Artist. Basically all these issues were pressed in 1992 in the Supreme Court with – 2 Live Crew.”

This isn’t the only issue Michael has faced. People trying to regulate his lyrics based on his ethnicity, saying because he isn’t black enough he can’t say ni**ga even though Aaron Michael is over 20% black. “I’ve only shared with certain individuals my race because my family is very conservative… my step Dad was a white dude, Mom was Mexican/Spanish/Middle-Eastern Egyptian. She was very “white” and didn’t want me to ever talk about who I was… it’s a complicated situation in my family but I never thought that people would be getting rattled up in the street almost gang banging race on me. Clearly I am not a white guy but that’s how people are. Your Mexican, your white, you ____, you fill in the blank. Just be happy with who I am and stop hating me for what I’m not.” Despite all of the upset, the Music is hot! And the wave, ready & extremely saturated. With over 20 Million Streams and Counting, Aaron Michael looks to his new album “Solomon” with ft. From Cassidy, RobLo, Gabriel Cannon & More. You can stream Last Days here belo

ABM What is your stage name? What inspired your stage name?

VeeBlaio: Well I had all kinda weird ass rap names growing up no cap, and I still have songs under that moniker but I just changed to something simple. I called myself Blaiten before, and so it was Vallejo Cut Blaiten, now I shortened it to Vee Blaio.

ABM: What is your story in terms of music, when did you start making music?

VeeBlaio: Really I just got serious a year ago I was running the streets never really took it serious until one of my older child hood potnas whome i looked up to got sighn to E-40 and then later started his on record label under that umbrella and signed me and thats when I start taking it serious just being a student of the game more so

ABM: Where are you from? How did your upbringing in Northern California influence your career?

VeeBlaio: I was born in Berkeley raised in Vallejo but tremendously I got both sides of the game. I got family in Richmond, Oakland, San Francisco… you name it. So I been in all of those city’s running around. I lived in Richmond, Oakland, and Berkeley. So I soaked all that game up, my pops and my step dad was two of the most Notorious hustlers from two different generations, and my mom is a go getter and a hustler, so I learned all the game from all sides.

ABM: Do you have any music visuals in the works?

VeeBlaio: Yes Mob’N Myers is next visual droppin, and we have a bunch of videos coming for a bunch of songs I got after that, but it’s all about timing so it has to be released right, but I already started filming Mob’N Myers. I got alotta movies in the works. I also got a video out now dired from 5:16 PM out now called “Shit Talkin”.

ABM: How do you feel about the protests, and the black lives matter movement?

VeeBlaio: I feel like everybody got their way of dealing with what’s going on in the world. I honestly feel like it has to be consistent because you could protest today… and tomorrow it is right back how it was in how these people move. They forget after that, so if your going to do it they need to keep doing it for it to be effective.

ABM: Do you have any other projects in the works?

VeeBlaio: No Cap I got two major EP’s coming “Dawg Eat Dawg”, “Lil Nick”, and a bunch of singles. I make three songs a day, so I got a lotta material already finished, so they’ll be releasing soon!

ABM: What inspired you to pursue being an artist professionally?

VeeBlaio: When I see you could get payed for this shit, I watched my niggas eat off it, I was like I want in!

ABM: Do you have any other lanes in music that interest you

VeeBlaio: I like the melodic shit thats what I do, I got songs when I’m harmonizing that got a million views on Soundcloud, some of my fanbase love that I could do both rap and melodic rap. I wanna do different shit with my songs without changing or jeopardizing the type of artist I am.

ABM: Where do you see yourself in 5 years from now?

VeeBlaio: Hopefully more successful, my own label, my own artists, more business ventures such as clothing, tv shows, really no limit to what I could imagine from a successful career. A lot of my dreams, I already started on it now! So these dreams I am having, it’s becoming more realistic.

ABM: Who are some of the musical influences that have inspired you?

VeeBlaio: Shit … No Limit Records, Cash Money, alot of Bay Area Artists, typical bay influences, a lot of old school… I could go all day I’m a music head.

ABM: Are there any artists you would like to work with in the future?

VeeBlaio: Lets see 21 savage, Drake,Anita Baker theres not alotta people its really just who ever fuck with me.

ABM: Where can people find you online?

VeeBlaio: I got a website www.veeblaio.com, you can find me on IG/ Vee_blaio Facebook/ Vallejo Blaio Twitter/ Valleyo_ Blaio or Soundcloud /Blaio /YouTube Vee blaio or Eastside_Vee /spotify/ pandora ALL THE SHIT

ABM: Are there any last words or shout outs to anyone you would like to mention before we end the interview?

VeeBlaio: Thank you to every last one of my fans, if you are a fan or becoming a fan I appreciate you, shout out to all my friends and family who support me.

What is COOKIES? The Cookie Fam by Berner’s Household Strain

Berner, also known as Gilbert A. Milam, Jr. is a 38 year-old rapper and cannabis strain developer. Today, you can find his work alongside some of the greatest artists, growers and cannabis connoisseurs of all time including Wiz Khalifa and Snoop Dogg. If you did not already know this Berner is also a Bay Area native with an impressive net worth. At 13 Berner moved to Arizona where his Dad opened a Mexican restaurant with aspirations of becoming a financial powerhouse and supporting his family. This entrepreneurial spirit took the strain developer far not only in cannabis but also in rap.

Later in life Berner launched an independent rap mixtape called “Dirty Sneakers,” that started his path towards a legitimate music career. His first association with “Tha Jacka,” is a rap collaboration that goes down in history. Berner can also be seen working on albums with Wiz Khalifa, Snoop Dogg and B-Real of Cypress Hill. In addition, Berner has flexed serious muscle in the cannabis industry as a businessman. Focusing on building a business in different areas of the industry including branding, cultivation and fashion, Berner’s presence is clearly smokin’.

Got Girl Scout Cookies by Cookie Fam?

If you didn’t already know, Girl Scouts selling cookies outside of the grocery store are not associated with Berner the rapper. In fact, the Girl Scout Cookies you can see at the Cannabis Cup winning awards are actually a hybrid strain of Berner’s own creation. The blend of OG Kush and Durban Poison is in NO WAY associated with Girl Scouts or their cookies. Also known as Berner’s Cookies after the man himself, his brand Cookies met the mainstream with the Cookie Family collective. Crossing two of the most popular strains, this underground family has elevated the entire weed game with this exclusive household strain.

The Bay Area artist credits the success of launching the Cookies brand in 2012 with putting the product in the hands of Wiz Khalifa. Today, the strain is a smoker’s delight at COOKIES dispensary, at home and on-the-go. You can also see that the Cookies brand effortlessly developed streetwear clothing that includes apparel and accessories for men and women.

As part of Berner’s takeover of the cannabis industry, Cookies dispensaries can be seen all over America in places like San Diego, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles and Baltimore as well as in Detroit. Berner is becoming a global figure as an entrepreneur along the likes of Willie Nelson, Breal of Cypress Hill and Yung LB from Runtz.

A Breakdown of Cookies the Strain

Cookies is a crossbreed strain with an average of 25% to 28%THC with an ultra-low 1% CBD/CBN content. That is not the only reason Cookies is a household brand name though. Puffing on GSC’s delivers one of the most satisfying highs with an enticing flavor and aroma that draws you in immediately after the first hit. Girl Scout Cookies is known to rocket you into a galaxy of euphoria leaving you with a body high that tingles in all the right places. The experience of riding waves of happiness, creativity and the giggles makes Girl Scout Cookies a leading strain among artists and novice smokers alike.

The growing techniques for Girl Scout Cookies vary but on Berners Cookie Fam Farm the soil and hydro systems both cycle on a timeframe of about 10 weeks to flower. Several phenotypes of this famous cannabis strain include Thin Mint and Platinum Cookies. Girl Scout Cookies is an indica dominant hybrid strain of OG Kush and F1 Durban Poison that also includes Cherry Pie (another strain by Berner). The Bay area rapper developed this strain with a bright purple color, twisting greenery and firey orange hairs. Check out their online store, at Cookiesmelrose.com – now with online ordering available for local residents.

What is Berners Net Worth?

It is estimated that Berner’s music skills and cannabis talents have made him alot of money. In 2014, Cookies in San Francisco reached a milestone of over 60,000 units sold and blew Cookies up into a franchise. It is estimated that his current net worth is 30 million dollars as the founder and CEO of Cookies. His high-ranking position did not come without a cost of course and if you listen to his music, Berner will tell you himself about the hard work and dedication it took to get where he is today. Recently, Cookies partnered with Grandiflora Genetics, an Oakland company founded by Mark McCafferty. Innovating new strains like Oakland Purp, High Tech and Melonatta, The Cookies and Grandiflora collaboration is an exciting one that will push the entire industry forward and thrill smokers.

How Can I Get in The Weed Game?

You may not possess the same rap, cannabis or entrepreneurial skills as this Bay area resident. The signature of Berner’s success is partially because he knows how to invest in cannabis. If you want to cash in on the green you may not have skills like Berner but you can make strategic investments in cannabis stocks. Cookies is a globally recognized brand with more potential growth in its future.

ABM: What is your Rap name? Tell us the story behind your hip-hop name?

Oni Montana: Oni Montana and Oni The One & Only, I have two names because I have 2 personalities as a rapper. Oni Montana is my rap name, when I’m spitting real bars and talkin that shit. My uncle KT The Boss actually gave me that name around the time Future came out with “Tony Montana” So I jus ran with it. I use the Tony Montana thang in reference to the dope music I make because ima “Dope rhyme dealer” like Mac Dre use to say. While Oni The One & Only is when I’m singing and harmonizing with the auto tune on my R&P shit not R&B lol basically for the women/Bitchs because there is a difference.

ABM: Has anything happened in your life that led to the decision of becoming a musician?

Oni Montana: I had this same vision in my head ever since middle school that I would be a rapper. I always knew it was apart of my plan. I actually was selling and recording my own mixtapes In middle school, recording off my nighas dads turntables in a garage rappin off of instrumentals. I use to rap battle kids in the school house and I always turned heads and surprised people when I opened my mouth because growing up I was hella quiet but not when it was my turn to rap. I always knew this is what I wanted to do. But back in 2008 when my older brother died I told myself I would make it for him because he was one of my number one fans and he really believed in me when it came to music so I made a promise to myself and him that ima stick to this music no matter what. I’m determined to make it it’s Destiny for me.

ABM: How did you get your start in the hip hop scene?

Oni Montana: Been rappin since middle school like I said. Selling my mixtapes and hella shit at the school house burning it off the homies computer. But I got influenced at a very early age because of all the musical talent in my family. My uncles was the Booya Tribe so they one of my many inspirations and one of the true pioneers of West Coast Hip Hop and Polynesian artists. Growing up seeing them just made me believe I could do it. First real studio I went to was with my uncle R Cade and uncle H mob of Uce Duce. I use to ride around with them while they would bust they moves and pick up they CDs basically jus soaking up game about the independent rap game that was going on in the Bay Area. In high school my uncle Swann FREE UNKS by the way, use to come pick me up from my papa house in West Pittsburg and take me to SwampKats studio in Concord and I jus sit down and soak up more game. Fast forward to 2015 my cousin Stone P got released out of prison and we been pushing this Thizz Island shit ever since. Got the blessing from the cuddie and we just been rocking really tryna push this movement and put on for our people S/O my nigha Diggs by the way

ABM: Where are you from, and what was it like growing up there?

Oni Montana: I’m from Pittsburg California in the east bay. I’m from a small town but we not small minded. I feel like we was different from other places we have our own way we talk, how we carry ourselves, the way we dress. We was saying BRO and use to get made fun of for it now look everybody says it now lol so basically we trend setters and way ahead of our time. We jus fly and peezy and got a whole bunch of game about us. It’s a lot of crime and poverty in my city but I’m hoping to change that and bring something positive back to my city and it will all start with the music . We real family oriented everybody know each other so although it’s a lot of hate it’s a lot of love too but they say life is all about balance. One thing about my city is growing up we had a huge music scene it was litt we had the Ghetto Stars, Mob Figaz, and A-wax. I use to see signs full of stickers with my favorite rappers on it. My cousin Noah and Tau put me on all the new music so I just had a sense of pride being from Pittsburg, especially with all the dope music that came from my city. So I just knew one day I was gonna be one of them nighas when I got older.

ABM: What do you typically rap about?

Oni Montana: Anything that’s on my mind when I hear the beat. I make mood music, so however I feel at the time is what I’m finna rap about. I try to express myself as much as possible thru my music and I’ll hit every subject because your emotions are subject to change. So I feel I’m very versatile when it’s come to my songs because of all the different feelings, emotions, pain and happiness, all that I have endured in life is all a reflection of my music. I like to harmonize and fuck with the auto tune but I also got real life bars and I actually know how to rap like The Jacka said whatever happen to coming dope? That’s all I’m tryna do is push this dope music and bring some pride back in this rap shit. Word to the Jack.

ABM: What are your last full length releases people can go check out right now?

Oni Montana: I got the Oral Sex Mixtape hosted by J Diggs. The meaning behind the name of the tape is I’m basically making love to the music orally lol But than I got a tape with my cousin Quad High out the city Called “Plugged in” also I jus recently dropped a new single “No Where” produced by High Volume out of Ohio. I gotta bunch of shit coming tho so stay tuned . We really pushing this Thizz Island and #FlyUcen movement tryna put on for all the polys.

ABM: What are you currently working on?

Oni Montana: Workin on the Polynesian Prince Album that’s coming real soon. And after that I plan on dropping a EP with my producer High Volume. Me and my lil cousin Samoan Joe gotta project in the works, he out of Pittsburg Cali too. He dope, make sure y’all check him out. I gotta few tracks with ScottieNoPippen one of the most slept on artist out the bay but we def gon turn it up on they ass once they hear this new shit, and I got a island reggae single coming out just in time for summer with my USO Flex that thang going crazy. I ain’t gon lie so I got hella shit in the works, plus a bunch of visuals I’m finna drop. My plan is to just really stay in y’all face this year. Consistency is the key to victory they say, so I’m just tryna be consistent.

ABM: Whats your last visual release people can check out, tell us about it.

Oni Montana: Latest visual is a track called “No where” produced from my big bro High Volume. We filmed it in Vegas with my nigga Buck The Genius aka White Gold s/o to bro by the way. But we filmed it in Vegas basically jus showing a walk thru of my life from the liquor store to the Vegas strip to the studio. We actually shot some of the footage at a bbq for my big bra ED CAINE like a one year memorial type shit so Rest in Paradise to my bro. He was one of them guys who always told me “Oni you dope nephew, stick to that music shit” like he really would push a nigha and get on me about staying on my music shit and staying out the way.

ABM: What is your ultimate goal at the end of your career?

Oni Montana: I wanna be able to inspire people with my music. I want to show people that if you can dream it, you can be it. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I’m trying to set the foundation for all my people. Plant the seed that will grow a tree of opportunities and it will all start with the music than branch off to other things like clothing, get into movies etc Basically opening more doors for Polynesian artist in the entertainment industry. I really want to give back to the people, create jobs, build community centers, buy properties and open up businesses in our communities. I truly believe that this music shit is capable of creating all that and then some. I wanna be like No limit or Cash Money records you know? Follow the same blue print Master P had. Get on my Nipsey shit, You know? Be a mogul and not just a rapper. Feel me? Like the shit 2pac was intending to do, that’s where I know this shit will turn to, GOD willing and I won’t stop until we there.
