Kanye West charged with felony for paparazzi attack on video

A photographer known as Dano was apparently assaulted by Kayne West at the Los Angeles International Airport. The rapper has been named a felony suspect in the case, and could face charges for attempted robbery.

Kanye West could be facing felony charges for attempted robbery after trying to take a photographer’s camera in an attack leaving LAX airport on Friday.

Authorities allege the rapper committed an attempted robbery when he accosted the shutterbug, who reportedly goes by the name of Dano.

The paparazzo was said to be injured, though his condition is unknown. He is reportedly pursuing the more serious charge of attempted robbery, instead of battery.

West, 36, has been named a suspect in the investigation stemming from the confrontation that left a paparazzo injured, TMZ reports, but the more serious charge brought against the rapper will be for the costly equipment. The photographer has decided to press charges against West, 36. The severity of the photographer’s injuries remain unknown.The case has been transfered to a robbery unit, TMZ reports.

Dano is apparently the same photographer that hounded Britney Spears in 2007, resulting in the singer attacking his SUV with an umbrella.

The case against West has been transferred to a robbery unit, the gossip site reports, and cops are said  to be putting a file together for possible prosecution.
