Rubbing shoulders with some of the biggest names in the industry celebrating 50 years of hip hop, I had the pleasure of meeting Ice Spice who was very nice and had a dope performance. Busta Rhymes was with his hype man Spliff Star and his speech was one of the highlights of the evening. There was countless stars I talked to from Omarion, Sauce Walka, D Smoke, Shari Headley, Big Daddy Kane, Kim Whiteley, J Stalin, Lil Blood, Trill S, and Big Von of KMEL.

But the excitement didn’t end there. I had the privilege of attending the official BET Awards Preparty, where the iconic MC Lyte and Mona Scott hosted a dinner party. The atmosphere was electric as industry insiders and artists came together to celebrate the success of Busta Rhymes and 50 Years of Hip Hop. It was a night filled with unforgettable moments.

From the BET Awards to the glamorous afterparties and the esteemed Empire Brunch, the entire BET Awards weekend was a star-studded affair, and I was happy to be a part of it.
