Street Spirit, out of San Jose, California, fuses street life with the spiritual — spreading the gospel through hip hop under his Professional Angels Entertainment banner. His project "The Testimony" is out now, with the EP "The Afterlife Initiation" on the way.
Whats Your Name? How'd you get you're rap name?
Street Spirit, Street Spirit is an emotion that describes my personality. I'm a classy individual that has ties to the streets and the kingdom of Heaven. When God offered me this job, I had to choose a code name that would jump out to my target audience. I figured the name Street Spirit would work well, so I trademarked it.
What made you tell us your message of God through hip hop?
I saw myself die in a day dream, I was scared. My soul was being pulled down toward hell and I called out to God to save me. God stepped in and offered me deals to stay out of hell. I took the deals, and I'm honoring those contracts today.
I have to tell the world everything that I witnessed during the angel orientation and trainings. I have to draw as much attention as possible to God and the kingdom of Heaven. I chose hip hop because this is what I think I can get the best results with. If I do well enough, I get to go back before the Heaven Entertainment Committee and chose my next tools. This is just the beginning of this mission, but I'm excited!
What you been working on lately?
I recently got a feature on Empire State Mixtapes Vol 2. hosted by Power 105 (New York) / Music Choice DJ, DJ Whutevva and Real Chance of Love 2 winner Hot Wings. Their are a lot of major label artists with exclusives on it, and it's been getting good attention on the iEmpire App along with other various mixtape web sites. I've been studying the music business, learning about the new trends, and finishing up my EP "The Afterlife Initiation".
Any new hot songs or features that you feel the public should know about?
I have God featured on a couple of songs. I feel extremely passionate about every song I do, so I suggest you buy and listen to all of my songs that I sell. Every song that I do has a valuable piece of information for the public to pick up on. A lot of the music I write, are messages that I have to relay from angels in the afterlife, to who ever needs to hear it at the current time. I don't know who certain lines are for, I just let my words flow. I've found myself hearing ideas in my music, that help get me to the next level of situations that I have going on in my life. Who are some of the artists you have worked with?
I've worked with a few artists, some that have paid me small amounts of money to feature on their projects, and some I've worked with just to exercise my skills. I have no idea if or when the music will come out. I can't give you definite names because most of them haven't locked in their name's yet.
What you got coming out?
I have an EP coming out called "The Afterlife Initiation." "The Afterlife Initiation" is about angels, miracles, and Heaven on earth. The music is designed to be mysterious and intense, with precise word painting.
Anything recent that you've done, even for the community?
I've found myself going through my closet often to get rid of clothes I don't use any more, and I will drive around the city looking for homeless people to give the clothes to. Some times I'll also buy a meal for the needy as well. God will usually do something special for me after I do things like that, so I guess it's like a win situation for everyone.

Last words?
Those of us that believe in God, believe that one day we will go to heaven and live forever, please don't be surprised if you notice yourself living your Heaven on earth when you least expect it. Always be prepared for change, but you must learn to adapt and handle every situation appropriately. Some things aren't meant to be shared with everyone and those are the things that separate you from the rest of the world. In the bible (Matthew 6: 9-13), the Lord's prayer, states Heaven will be on earth as it is in Heaven. Heaven on earth, comes before Heaven in Heaven. God bless and learn to be a blessing to others as well, it's good for the universe..
