ABM- So how'd you get your rap name? Where you from?

I was born Raheem Coleman. Ever since I can remember my father and friends all called me Heemy.. so it just make's since to stick wit it as my rap name, ya feel me? I was born in Santa Maria, California. Raised over in Lompoc, by my father & brother.

ABM- What are some of the experiences you have growing up there?

I grew up on the street's with my brother. I learned how to keep to myself real quick and stay true to my root's and never forget where I come from. I seen everything from shooting's, to drug traffic, and all kind's of ill stuff, and I felt like I was better than that, and had to do something better with my life. At the age 11 I was diagnosed with cancer, and went through chemo, and several other treatments to get cured. At the age of thirteen I came so close to death I was granted a "Make a Wish", from the Make A Wish Foundation. By some great miracle I pulled through my sickness, and made a miraculous recovery only to make me realize that im still alive for a bigger and better reason than to be on these street's bangin' everyday. After that things went back to normal for awhile until my brother got locked up for life on false charge's. So here I am now the youngest in my family trying to make a difference and change the world and people's perspective on hip hop, as well as rap artist's!! Not to mention to get my big bro outta prison. Free Big Chucc

ABM- Ok, so on to the music side of you'r life, what are you currently working on?

I'm currently working on 2 project's under my record label Eighth Dimension Ent. My main project I've been working on for a year and a half is dropping on my bday 12-19-11 my sophomore album Young / Active its gonna be a double disc release with a DVD documentary following me behind the scene's as I went from show to show studio to studio with my producer Dub Da Mac. The second project im working on right now is with Shady Nate we just started on it last month and im having one of the greatest times I've ever had working on this album , Shady a real easy cat to get along with and every track we've done together is a certified slap!

ABM- Whats some of the big accomplishments you've had in your career?

Finally getting my nameout there and finally finding the people that believed in me and my music from day 1 I mean I always had support but when I started gaining fan's it really meant alot to me I consider every fan my # 1 fan . For me theres nothing better than what I'm doing waking up at my studio watching Dub make a beat then hopping on it to complete a project just so people can find a way to relate to us thats why we started Eighth Dimension Ent. Eighth Dimension is the site of sound when people close there eye's and listen to me rap I want them to be able to visualize my word's and know that I been through that did that seen that or was really real wit my music not just a rapper thats my second motto.

ABM- What influences you to go forward with your music?

First and foremost I wouldn't be doing this without Dub Da Mac if he didn't believe in me and push me further and harder everyday I don't know where Id be right now. As far as role model's I don't have any I looked up to my big brother and I live by my father's rule's I am my own man and I've been through twice as many hardships as a normal man by the age of 18 with everything I went through so young I came so close to death I look at everything way different than most people do.
