West Coast Hip Hop Awards
West Coast Hip Hop Awards Successful, Spice 1 named Rapper of the Decade!! — Awards 2009 Re-Cap.
West Coast Hip Hop Awards was the best orchestrated event in reuniting West Coast Artists from other regions, and bringing back light to the West Coast as a whole. People from the Bay Area, Arizona, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland were all in attendance. The crowd of spectators all had a good time at the Car Show, and celebrity rappers in attendance was high.
Some of the highlights of the event where when Spice 1 entered the building, which caused a huge uproar of fans, and press. I got a moment to talk to Spice 1, talk about his new record coming out under the Universal Umbrella, reunited the west coast, and he thanked his fans for all his support in winning Gangster Rapper of The Decade Award.
Also Rapper C-Bo was in attendance, and gave an all star performance at the end of the event, and I got a moment to catch up with him, I asked him what advice he has to any West Coast Artist trying to do it big, he said "you gotta be at functions like West Coast Hip Hop Awards, and out of state functions, if you dont meet people like that than you aint going to go anywhere." More details on C-Bo, his upcoming projects, and more coming soon.
Also the Bay Area took home a pretty big Award, as Oakland's Don P won video of the Year with his video "Distractions", which features Mob Figaz member The Jacka. Don P was another addition to the event, which he has been buzzing with his club single "you're with me", playing on radio stations throughout the West Coast.
Also in the building is SF's new giant John Que, with his booth, and got an opprtunity to perform with Spice 1. A great performance, with the crowd really feeling his action performance. I got a moment to talk to John Que, he said "tell everybody to cop my new album with John Que and Guce in the Duffle Bag Boys, as well as his album "This Time it's Personal".
After the performance of Spice 1, Kokaine, John Que, C-Bo, the awards show was over, the fans cleared, networking was still in effect. The event was without drama, no fights, a positive uplifting crowd of people representing there own areas, and at the same time spreading love to other artists from other areas.
Also AllBayMusic.Com caught up with artists like Kokaine, Beeda Weeda, Biaje, Killa Kiese, Lee Majors, and more.
This awards show may be one of the very events that brings back light to the West Coast, a big up's to the staff at the West Coast Hip Hop Awards.

Any artist, no mater there stature, if they are from the West Coast and they are rappers, they need to attend, or they are just Hollywood Rappers, who don't really support its scene, which in turn means they don't support the streets, so thanks Octavious for also showing us in the West Coast who is relevant, who does show support, and also to you who are reading this next issue you will find news on the 2010 West Coast Hip Hop Awards so stay tuned...
