Traxamillion

Interviewed by Don P · “My Radio” out July 10

DON P: I'm in here with the man, the myth, the legend Bay Area Producer, Traxamillion. What's happening?

TRAX: Basically, I'm about to drop this album on July 10th, My Radio. I'm doing a shameless plug right here. You know what I'm saying? My radio station, my stuff, my projects-produced by me from top to bottom.

DON P: So, what's the business? The last time we saw you, you were with 4V4, you had a big campaign going on that was a good look for you. Those guys were making some major moves. What's going on now? Are you still with 4V4? What's the latest?

TRAX: We definitely still link up, but we're not on a contract like I was with them the first time we did a project. Right now, I'm working on my own project. I worked with 4V4 for about a year, worked on Drew Deezy's album, worked on, "As Good as it Gets" compilation, I worked on some records with Thai. We just basically put out some good work. Everything's still good.

DON P: Nice…So for people out there who might not know about Traxamillion, the people that have been up under a rock for the last several years…Tell 'em some of the hits that you've laid out.(produced)

TRAX: My most popular hit was, "Super Hyphy" by Keak Da Sneak. That's the biggest record that people would probably know me by. I've done, "Glamorous Lifestyle" by the Jacka, I've done records for Husalah like "Pray for you". I've done Too Short and Mistah Fab's, "The Sideshow". That's another popular one that people would know me by. I've basically done a lot of different work for a lot of different artists in the Bay. I've pretty much worked with everybody.

DON P: Your also stretching things out and working with artists outside of the bay.. What was it like working with Brooke Hogan? Tell us how that project came about. How did that all come together?

TRAX: Brooke Hogan? That was dope! My boy, E-Rock hit me up and said that he had an opportunity for me to do this remix. He sent me the record and at the time my manager was K-9, so I called him. Shout out, K-9! He sent me the acapella with Paul Wall produced by Scott Storch. I sat around and worked with it for two days, made a beat and finally came up with the version that I like, sent the tune and literally the same day, he hit me back. He said he liked it and was going to send it to the label to see what they have to say. The label loved it, bro. They ended up going with it. They got E-40 on it and at the time, the Bay was cracking.

DON P: E-40 is the Ambassador so getting him on the track was a no brainer. I'm glad that all worked out. We'll my hat's off to you bro we only hope to see you do more big things in the future, I'm sure that's all that anybody can expect to see from Traxamilion .. more dope things to come.

TRAX: More dope shit, bro. Just keeping it moving, man. The music industry has changed recently as far as the way people hustle, the way people go about doing their independent thing. You know what I'm saying?

DON P: True indeed, you gotta find away to stand out from the crowd. Yo, so tell everybody out there where they can find you..

TRAX: Find me on Twitter: @Traxamillion. I'm also on Facebook: Traxamillion. If you want to follow me on Instragram: @Traxamillion408. I DJ, too. So if you want to book me, just hit me up. Look at my tables right here.(points to turn tables) Your boy gets down, you know what I mean? I'm doing all kinds of things, expanding my product, expanding the name, "Traxamillion". Follow your boy. It's going down.
